The Dept. of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration recently announced new funding opportunities for expanding access to high-speed internet. As part of the federal Digital Equity Act, this funding will target adoption and use of broadband services to low-income households, aging populations, incarcerated individuals, veterans, individuals with disabilities, individuals with a language barrier, racial and ethnic minorities, and rural residents.
